As I enjoyed the longest day of the year and the first day of summer, I wonder how our ancestors may have enjoyed the day… Did they grill meat and zucchini for dinner sprinkled with sea salt and rainbow peppercorns? Did they visit and drink red wine with friends and family? Did they laugh out loud at the sweat trickling down their back enjoying the bright day? And did they watch the sunset in awe?

What I do know is they did not have their nose in their phone, iPad, or laptop!
