Stella's Mulling Spice and Recipes-A Holiday Must!

Our Stella's Mulling spice is a must for all holiday events. These spices mulled in red wine or apple cider make every holiday festival more festive.  Have fun with this blend and be creative. Here are a few I have enjoyed: 

Stella's Mulled Wine or Spiced Apple Cider: 

This drink is a little piece of my childhood, where love and peace filled the air as the scent of spices gently warmed the house during the holidays. Inspired by my grandmother, Stella, who always made Christmas feel special, this spice blend brings back the simple joy of being surrounded by love and the comforting aroma that made everything feel right. We hope Stella’s blend will fill your space with that same magical warmth.

Ingredients: 1 bottle of red wine or 4 cups of apple cider. 2-3 Tbsp of Stella's Mulling spice, 1/4 cup of honey or Brown Sugar, 1 orange sliced. 

Instructions: Combine all ingredients in a saucepan and simmer 15-20 minutes. Strain and serve warm in a mug. 

Stella's Simple Syrup:

An easy Simple Syrup that should always be on hand during the holidays.  Use for pancakes, waffles, teas, hot chocolate, coffee, cocktails, mocktails, pound cake or sponge cake.

Ingredients: One cup sugar, 1 cup water, 2 Tbsp Stella's Mulling Spice

Instructions: Heat sugar and water until dissolved, add Stella's Mulling Spice, Simmer 15-20 min, cool, place in refrigerator with spices overnight. Strain the next day. 

Stella's Spiked  Mulled Punch:

Ingredients: Four cups cranberry juice or apple cider, one cup orange juice, one small can of pineapple juice, 1/4 cup brown sugar, two tablespoons of Stella's Mulling Spice.

Instructions: Simmer all ingredients together for 20 min. Strain and serve warm with a splash of Brandy ( optional).  Garnish with fresh cranberries and an orange slice. 

Spiced Poached Pears:

Ingredients: Four Pears ( peeled), two cups of water, one cup of sugar, 2 Tbsp of Stella's Mulling Spice

Instructions: Combine all ingredients in a saucepan and simmer until the pears are tender (about 20-25 min) . Remove the pears and reduce the syrup until slightly thickened.  Strain and serve over pears on a plate. 

Spiced Oatmeal: 

Ingredients: one cup of oats, two cups milk or water, one tsp Stella's Mulling Spices, dash of honey or maple syrup ( to taste).

Instructions: low simmer milk with Stella's mulling spices for 20 min, strain the spices from the milk, add the oats and cook until thicken and tender, Sweeten with maple syrup or honey to taste. Top with nuts, dried fruit, or fresh apples.
